My camera does pretty good for outdoor shots, for for indoor, you either need to glue the thing to a tripod and hope someone passes by at snails pace to get a blur free picture. Picture clarity is good when it works, but that HORRID "AutoBrite" feature. It seems the errors are being caused by it dropping the USB connection. (I downloaded the latest SW instead of using the CD that came with it. 0 for my birthdaysoftware disc is cracked! I downloaded 169-3844. I still have a problem with the flatfoto 2. and then convert to jpeg as you please. Built in 16 MB(w/SD Slot)gives you 90 shots, recharges via USB, metal body- not bad at all…. It is amazing that all manufacturers have to do is not suck and of map camp lejeune north carolina course, get the software right. Anyways Im ganna see if i can check how they came out, maybe theres a problem with the cord or something. or does the usb work as a charger too. I've lost my Flatofoto camera's software disk. Upside? It's not hard to use? Downside? Now cleaner kirby sentria vacuum that it is up, this little gadget has a permanent home with me. and in moving i lost the disk and possibly the charger cord. My boyfriend got the Flatfoto (not the new one), last summer and we've never had problms with it. With all this im hearing about how horrible the pictures turn out Im figuring that im just ganna return it tommorow anyways, *sigh* I really feel like throwing the dang thing out the window and having it hit the guy who convinced me to buy it on the simon and garfunkel book end head. Seems not to vary with or without flash. It comes with a program called "MP Photo Album", which I had to install, as for some reason even after installing the drivers, XP didn't recognize it natively (again, the custom file format I suppose. It works fine for both indoor and outdoor. . Got one and after 2 weeks the dam thing broke returned it back to the store got another one and it also stoped working. That does not seem too nice (notably I use the USB a LOT for transfers, with no issues with my Archos Jukebox, my external 20 gig hard drive I use to transfer stuff between computers, my N-Gage, or other digital cameras. The shutter speeds when shooting indoors appear to be outrageously long. In "high" quality mode it drops to 22 for the internal memory. The more expensive cameras save the pictures natively in jpeg, but this one has to convert them, apparently when you download them to the computer which makes it take even longer if you have a slow computer. but generally when you take pics, sumone is posing, or it's of an inanimate object. but for simple uses, not any pro photograhy, it works great. ) Installing that added an imaging device to windows (aha!), replete with the usual "not signed driver" etc warnings. The software is an unnecessary bother when you simply what to download the photos to the computer. ) The reason they did this is the format the pictures are in on the memory card (ahhhh the joys of a built in SD reader in my laptop)they are. Two 128 meg cards plus the 16 meg in the camera more than covers anything I have come up against. As of right now, I would NOT recommend it, even as a cheap, easy-to-carry camera. Keep us posted on your outdoor shots- if you do like it, you can pick up SD cards for next to nothing in places like these and connect the card directly.
